Nitrogen was bubbled through the mixture, CuBr (0.18 g) and CuBr2 (0.018 g) were added as catalyst and the mixture was stirred for 12 h at room temperature. The product was purified by filtration, washed with distilled water and 0.1 mol L−1 HCl, and finally dried.
