Requirements for the Ratification/Recognition of the certificates of approval for models of water and electricity meters.
Steps to follow:
1. The process starts by submitting the service request to the INTN (see request template in Annex A) along with 4 (four) samples of the meter for which the Ratification/Recognition and the documents related to it. (Requirements for the Ratification/Recognition are detailed in Annex B)
2. In case any additional information or clarification related to the information in the request is required, the requestor will be notified via e-mail, no more than three working days afterwards.
3. The requestor has 20 working days to provide the information requested so that evaluation can start. If the requestor fails to deliver the requested information, the process will be determined to be finalized and all provided information will be returned.
4. The certificate of Ratification/Recognition will be issued in a period of 20 working days from the date the requestor has paid for the ratification service, with priority given to those requestors that have requested the service and paid the fee, and following the numbers of the files open for each case and requestor, respectively.
5. That mentioned in the previous item will take place whenever the documentations and other requirements for the ratification are complete and in agreement with the equipment presented as sample. Otherwise, the requestor will be informed of the missing points through a note signed by the chief of the department of model approval, or by the person in charge of dispatch of that department if the chief is not available.
6. In case the client wishes to request a complementary certificate of a meter already previously ratified/recognized, he must provide all back up documents on which the equipment information of the previously ratified/recognized equipment are indicated and the differences that exist in relation to the meter they wish to ratify/recognize, besides the related samples for revision.
Note: The complementary certificate will be issued only if the differences between the parameters of the meter don’t alter the measurement characteristics of the meter initially ratified/recognized, and this has been proven by the laboratory technician involved in the revision.
