Answer: No. In the dark you won't see anything.

Question: My unit measures both myself and husbands temperatures a little low consistently @ 98.2 ..my question is how accurate have you found yours to be?
Answer: The directions indicate that the results may be not quite as accurate as traditional means of taking one's temperature. I find the results good enough to gauge whether or not I have a fever of if it's rising or falling.

Question: can this meter switch between Fahrentheit and Celsius? I try to hold down power button, but it turn off... it doesn't switch.. how can I change ?
Answer: Hold down the 'I / O' key and 'start' button does not move, waiting for the screen displayed in turn. 'F''set ''  'when displayed  when let go on it at the same time
