There is no fear of experimenting with colour or texture, yet those are carefully curated and balanced. Aino worked a lot with fabric design, which enhanced the Artek furniture. She also designed and built custom furniture pieces such as storage unites below in the dining room and below the stairs. The dining table is surrounded by lavish, rustic Italian chairs which Aino brought home from the study excursion with her husband. Lighting fixtures are in essence reflecting their appreciation of Nordic light, being mounted very low for cosy winter moments and formed as veryjoyous as objects, for observation during long summer days.
