This model appears to work for its developer at a four-year university. However, can it be adapted to a two-year professional-technical program in a community college? Will it bring greater relevance to coursework and help students see the importance of what they are learning? This paper offers a retrospective on my adaptation of the Industry Fellows model into my own context, and describes the impact that it had on my students, the industry practitioners who participated, and me. I will use Industry Fellows/Partners (capitalized) to refer to the model, and industry fellows/partners (lowercase) to refer to the working professionals who participated.
