1) direct capture and sequestration of the inherently concentrated CO2 stream, 2) generation of electricity or heat from the H2 (and optionally the O2) via fuel cells or combustors, 3) providing oxy-fuel for cleaner combustion in the cement sintering cycle, and 4) liquid fuel production. A first-order technoeconomic analysis of the energy consumption and fuel cost of such a process as a function of the cost of renewable electricity is presented.
