Respondents’profilesThe response rate was 38.4% (250 questionnaires disseminated; 99 returned; 3 invalid and excluded; 86 [89.6%] men; 10 [10.4%] women) (Table 1). They were divided into five age categories: 20-30 years old (n = 14), 31-40 years old (n = 46), 41-50 years old (n = 26), and ≥ 51 years old (n = 10). More respondents (n = 63; 65.6%) reported flying the Boeing series; all had a university degree or above; 40 (41.7%) were first officers; 34 (35.4%) had between 3,000 and 6,000 flying hours; and 51 (53.1%) were company-trained pilots.
