This definition is the same as that given to ‘impairment’ by the World Health Organisation (WHO) in a classification of impairments, disabilities and handicaps.‘Disability’ refers to any restriction or lack of ability to perform an activity, that results from an impairment. Handicap refers to the disadvantage for a given individual, resulting from an impairment or a disability, that limits or prevents the fulfillment of a role that is normal for that individual.
