Before I was an English assistant to the English teacher in junior high school, I was an unconfident and passive person. The most serious time was in elementary school. At that time, I was really timid and unconfident, and I did not dare to interact with classmates at all. Of course, because of my personality, I had few friends then. Therefore, I usually did my own things alone after every class, unless my friends wanted to play with me. Sometimes, there were some activities or contests held by school, and I wanted to participate, but I didn’t have enough courage to tell teacher, so I lost a lot of chance to make my school life more interesting. However, after I was an English assistant, I had more courage to talk with classmates, even volunteered to be the class secretary. But how did I increase my courage? The answer was my English teacher. During I was her assistant, I always made mistakes, so I also always got scolded by her. Although she was always scolded me, I still worked as an English assistant for three semesters. As the saying goes “What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.”
