Taken together, our studies demonstrated that the strain SWA25T is affiliated to the genus Halomonas.Based on the morphological, physiological and chemotaxonomic properties, together with the DNA–DNA relatedness and phylogenetic analysis, a novel species of the genus Halomonas with the name Halomonas shantousis sp. nov. is proposed to accommodate strain SWA25T.
