the first usually opposite the posterior third of the onchiostyle, the second about one third, and the third about thfee quarters of the onchiostyle length behind the base of the onchiostyle. The arrangement of these papillae in relation to the onchiostyle is variable; the first papilla may be opposite or even behind the onchiostyle base. A prominent lateral cervical pore is present on either side near the base of the onchiostyle. Basal bulb of oesophagus abuts onto intestine. Testis single, anteriorly outstretched. Three ventro-median pre-anal supplementary papillae; the first opposite or just above the proximal end of the spicules; the second about 1.5 body-widths anterior to the first and the third, which is less conspicuous, slightly more than 1.5 body-widths from the second. Paired post- anal papillae and caudal pores also present. Spicules without transverse striations, ventrally curved, proximal end distinctly cephalated, expanding in the mid-region nearly to the width of the proximal end, then narrowing towards the distal end. In dissected spicules "bristles" are clearly visible in the narrow "neck" region (Fig. 2E). Spicule tips slightly bifid. Gubernaculum about 16 u long, with a characteristic proximal hook and distal knob (Fig 11).
