In marketing terms, these commodities would be classified as Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG). Food like cereal, bread, rice, noodles, meat and vegetables as well as liquids like water, alcohol, sweet drinks etc are considered as fast moving and easy to replace as they provide fuel and energy for our bodies. We can choose to purchase these FMCG either for home consumption at supermarkets, hypermarkets, wet markets etc or via a service provided like restaurants, cafes, bars etc. FMCG can also be in the form of services provided and are non edibles such as petrol, public transport, essential utilities like the Internet service, electricity, gas and water etc. There are many places to consume these FMCG commodities as it really depends on the individual and his or her own preference. Personally, I enjoy consuming both at home as well as outside and equally as an individual or in a group. Commodities used in daily life that are usually fast moving and easy to replace might be something we take for granted but they are in fact irreplaceable
