BioChristina Roy holds a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine degree (M.S.O.M.) from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado. Her extensive program lasted 4 years with over 3000 hours of training, which included over 1100 hours of clinical hands on training. She is a licensed Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (Dipl. OM) through the National Committee for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Christina is also certified by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM) in Clean Needle Technique and is state licensed as a Licensed Acupuncturist in the Colorado. None of these licenses have ever been revoked or suspended for any reason.

She has worked with multiple cycling & triathlon groups in Boulder to help with recovery treatments after races, as well as injury prevention & performance enhancement. Christina is also a cyclist & her dream is to some day do the RAAM (Race Across America) solo!
She has been a featured speaker at various events, including the Denver Diabetes Expo 2009 & 2010, sponsored by the American Diabetes Association (ADA). At these events she has discussed Diabetes, its health impacts, and how acupuncture can help improve a person’s state of health as well as assisting with the side effects of some of the medications.
Christina was also a member of Team WILD (Women Inspiring Life with Diabetes). This is a team of women spanning the country and of all ages, who have Diabetes (types 1 & 2). Together Team WILD participated in the Longhorn Half-Ironman race in Austin, TX on October 2009. Personally Christina is a Ty[e 1 Diabetic and knows first hand the physical, psychological, and emotional challenges inherent with Diabetes and living successfully with it.
