The concepts and models presented in this article were generated from a structured and comprehensive study of the existing research works and industrial projects falling under the moniker of IoTSE. Our methodology was inspired by the systematic literature review method.8It comprised four phases: detection, selection, extraction, and synthesis (Figure 1). The Detection phase involves identifying potentially relevant articles from various academic sources. The Selection phase involves selecting a subset of articles that were high quality and relevant to the study. The Extraction phase involves extracting raw data relevant to the questions of the study.The Synthesis phase involves synthesizing raw data into knowledge to answer questions of the study.
