The synthesized LDHs and commercial MgAl LDH (CL94) were calcined at 600°C for 24 hours to prepare layered double hydroxides of magnesium and aluminum oxide (LDO). Sulfonamide salt (SAS) was used as a modifier, and the mixture was then placed in a high-pressure reactor and stirred while reacting at 100°C overnight to form MgAl LDH-SAS precipitates.
