The divergent validity was determined by exploring the relationships between the SQoL-MCAT scores and sociodemographic (i.e., age, gender, educational level, patient status) and clinical (i.e., disease duration, PANSS scores, and CDSS score) characteristics using t tests and Pearson’s correlations. In accordance with previous studies , we expected the following findings: the SQoL-MCAT dimension scores (1) should not differ with sociodemographic characteristics; (2) should be higher in outpatients than in inpatients; (3) should not depend on the duration of the disease; and (4) should be negatively correlated with the severity of the disease.
