This is an enchanting story. Once you begin reading “A Christmas Carol”, you won’t stop reading it. After reading the book, I have made up my mind to help those who are in need, treat my friends with sincerity, and not to be a selfish girl. I think those who are far from kindness and smiles must have no companions. Scrooge is notorious for his nasty personality. It is out of the question for him to have friends. It is because he would rather earn money than contact others, and even his nephew is included. I am surprised he makes a point of doing such a ridiculous thing. “No man is an island.” Human beings are gregarious animals, so we should be kind to everyone around us. It is the so-called fellowship. There is no denying that Scrooge dares to admit mistakes. If it were not for his deceased partner and the three spirits’ help, he wouldn’t change into a good person. As far as I am concerned, as long as one would like to turn over a new leaf, it is never too late. However, if a bad guy isn’t willing to change his individuality, he is incurable. Nobody can save him from predicament. It occurred to me that when I was in elementary school, there was a girl called Lucy, who was mean and never smiled. We didn’t talk to her or share happiness with her. She was so piteous. Eventually she transferred to another school. The last thing for me to do is losing my dear friends. I won’t be like Lucy and “the past Scrooge.” As the proverb goes, “Laugh, and the world laughs with you; weep, and you weep alone.” “Smile is the best language.” I couldn’t agree more with these proverbs! To sum up, in my opinion, “A Christmas Carol” is an unforgettable story. I learned from it that the importance of friends can’t be overemphasized. Another lesson I learned from the book is: be benevolent.
