isolates the Stoppering Tray Dryer from the Freeze Dry System to shorten time necessary to reestablish working vacuum levels and to provide a means for checking end point.
While the researcher loads and pre-freezes samples on the shelves, the Isolation Valve may be closed allowing the Freeze Dry System’s vacuum and collector to reach working levels.
At the end of lyophilization, the valve may be closed to test the rate of vacuum decay in the
Tray Dryer. Rapid decay indicates end point has not been reached.
