A characteristic absorption peak at 440 nm for the NSP/POE-imide/AgNO3 dispersionindicated a homogeneous mixture. In the control experiment, a POE-imide surfactant was utilizedas the stabilizer instead of NSP/POE-imide. The product solution exhibited an absorption peak atapproximately 446 nm when the POE-imide/AgNO3 weight ratio was maintained at 1:1. Figure 2bshows TEM images showing the size distribution of formed AgNPs. The AgNPs are well-dispersed onthe surface of the platelets with a particle diameter of approximately 10–20 nm. During the reductionof AgNO3, the surface of the silicate sheets and the polymer chains adhere together when the AgNPswere generated and decreased simultaneously in size. The average size of the AgNPs decreased dueto the increasing number of NSPs added to the system. The hybrid dispersants showed excellenthomogeneity and remained stable for three months.
