The Importance of Acts for Pentecostal Theology and Practice
These important functions of the book of Acts have long been appreciated by evangelical Christians. One other aspect of Acts makes it crucial for the Pentecostal believer. The emphasis on the work of the Holy Spirit, including the experience of a baptism or filling of the Holy Spirit and the operation of charismatic gifts of the Holy Spirit, is nowhere more evident than in this narrative. Pentecostal theology appears elsewhere in the New Testament however, any Pentecostal theology founded without the full benefit of the book of Acts would be severely impoverished.
