2. The nature of the resurrection body, vv.35-58 (How are the dead raised?)a. The illustration from nature, vv.35-411) The anticipated questions, v.352) The analogy of seed, vv.36-38a) The principle, v.36b) The application, v.37Just as a seed is planted in the earth and dies, yet it produces new life, so death of the body is the way to its new life. Note: Technically, a seed that sprouts do not die. There are no resurrections in the botanical world. Paul is only saying that, as a seed is buried, so the body; it is a qualified, imperfect analogy because there are no real human analogies to resurrection life from true death. You cannot describe infinite, supernatural truth perfectly with finite words!c) The questions answered, v.38It is God who gives life in death, whether a seed or a body. The point is that resurrection of life from death is a work of God.
