Ebenezer Scrooge was a mean and stingy old man. He was not only mean to his employee named Bob but also mean to his own nephew named Fred. He told Fred that he thought “Christmas is humbug” and it was the time that you would spend huge amount money on unimportant things. By being told this, Fred was very disappointed to his uncle. After that, Scrooge was ignored again. Meanwhile, on the Christmas Eve, he met three ghosts who came from his future, present and past Christmas. They made him feel regretful for what he had done and what is happening now. He realized that he was too mean to the people who knew him very well. He was determined to be a good person who would help the poor people when they needed. He was not so mean anymore. After reading A Christmas Carol, I realized that people should pay more attention to others instead of themselves, because everyone can’t live without others. If we only care about ourselves, we would have the same destiny as Scrooge who used to be the mean person.
