MANCINI INDUCTED INTO ITALIAN FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME
The Nerazzurri boss was inducted into the Coaches category at a ceremony in Florence on Monday morning
FLORENCE – Roberto Mancini has been inducted into the Coaches category of the Italian football Hall of Fame. The ceremony was held at Florence’s Palazzo Vecchio on Monday morning.
"Receiving this accolade is a great honour, and it’s a pleasure to be awarded it as the coach of a massive club like Inter," said Mancini at the ceremony.
The Inter boss also looked back over his career as a player: "Playing is more fun, but while coaching is tougher it’s wonderful to still be in football. I hope to continue for many years to come, and I hope Italian football can get back to the levels of the 1980s, when we had the best players in the world here. We need to do something to make sure that happens."
The current season marks Mancini’s 15th as a manager.
