With the latter consideration in mind, we reasoned that it could be important to build context in as much as possible from the start. Thus the first activity we devised called Context to Text A invited pairs of participants with common occupational roles to talk through their daily working practice within a single bedded area and to relate this to the loci of pathogens that might cause HAIs. To facilitate this participants would be shown an A1 size, full-colour laminated image of a single bedded ward (see the top left photographic image in Figure 2).
