A novel fiber OptiC micro-displacement was demonstrated experimentally. It bases on the cladding-mode resonance of the special fiber.The sensor head with the SMF-special-SMF structure presented strong cladding-mode resonant spectrum. The resonant spectrum is very sensitivity to the micro-displacement.With the micro-displacement increasing, the phase-matching resonant wavelength shifts to shorter wavelength and shows very high sensitivity to be 0.1 nm/um in the dynamic range of 200um.
