The SQLS does not purport to assess all of patients' concerns and it is not intended to replace conventional outcome measure. However, it adds important information to that traditionally collected in psychiatry.Further work is under way to test its psychometric properties in different clinical contexts and in respondents with different levels of clinical severity. It is possible to be optimistic that the impact of schizophrenia on individuals' lives can now more directly be considered when treatments for the disease are evaluated.
