Among 4 kinds of shoots, fruiting spur was the only one that leaf nutrient content correlated with the browning severity level. This result indicated that the postharvest disorder of fruits may be more relevant to the nutrient condition of leaves located nearby more than those grown far away. Many previous researches pointed out that the nutrition and the quality of fruit were more associated with fruiting spur leaves than the others (Jones and Samuelson, 1983; Proctor and Palmer, 1991; Volz et al., 1996). Our result was coincident with the conclusion of previous researches. According to the inference, we suggest that the optimum nutrient contents should be recommended by referring to which kind of shoots in the fertilizing guide to growers.
