Sizing and optimization techniques must efficiently search for
an optimum combination of parameters like system cost, system
reliability, PVsystemsize,tiltangleofPVpanels, batterysize,wind
turbine size with hub height because, over sizing causes higher
system costs and under sizing causes insufficient power supply. A
number ofauthors havecarried outdetailed reviews onsizing and
optimization techniques [2–10]. Summary highlights of these
studies are given in Table 1.
