By the time you read this lettee, I presumed that you must had had a good time in Canada. I hope that you are all well and things are on your side.Since I arrived on schedule at Taipei, Steve Tsai and Miss Priest had taken good care of me. I'm now living in the guest house still until Mr. Dean(Wu?) is recovered from mumes, That is to say I’m going to move to Men’s dorm 2 by to-morrow. In the guest house here, I’m living with Simmons bed, new blanket and sheets from U.S.A full bath room with plumbing. Thats not all, I had two servants cooking meals, fixing my room and washing my clothes. What a life. But to-morrow I’m going to eat with the students for I had joined their mess hall. It’ll serve me right to share the same living condition as they are so I’II be more sympathetic and understanding in designing buildings for them. I did this despite of the warnings from other teachers about the food that students eat. I think thet I’ll try it at least for a month and a half until School starts then I’ll join the Teacher’s mess hall. The working schedule is terrific. It starts at 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Then from 12:30 to 2:30 is lunch and nap time. From 2:30 PM on to 7:00 PM, it suits the climate well.One and half month more, the men’s dorm will be completed. Steve had assigned a tiny room on the top floor for me to stay and watch the bugs. The women’s dorm are under way pending the arrival of wood. They all appeared to have some small errors here and there, make-shift arrangements. But I can predict that they'll all finish as expected. Lots of materials had to make inquiries, tested and also inovations. Details changes on site, etc,…
