C = core testing
Core testing is the minimum testing required to show that specific chemistries are controlled
Always test materials randomly to ensure none of the supplemental testing parameters are an issue
If a failure is found for any chemical on RSL, including supplemental or non-specified chemical, supplier is still responsible.
S = Supplemental testing
Supplemental testing is an important follow up for suppliers
Chemicals having a lower risk of being found in a specific material, but still regulated and/or important from a safety perspective
The supplier is required to meet all of the chemical limits throughout the RSL on any material or product used by NIKE, Inc.
Supplemental testing parameter to be chosen individually
