I have done on-site research and took 12photos there and timed the door closing time in MTR –about 1 min to 90 seconds
Some of the research were mainly from Google –30 photos.
In my own feeling, I feel sorry for those who got injured in the train especially children and elderly. The reason I choose this topic was because I got injured once in the MTR too.
I think the light indicator idea may be feasible and could help a lot of people. This project was an interesting project that I observed a lot and opened up my perspective and analysis some problems in the MTR.
I have made use of brainstorming and SCAMPER to help me to think of my ideas. It was very useful for me and SCAMPER gave me the direction to think and I was lost with no idea.
It may make the cost higher and raise MTR fare. Children who are shorter may not see the light.
Wheelchair user may not notice the light on top also.
In conclusion, I believe the idea could work, because the advantages are more than the disadvantages, and it is feasible in terms of technology and human psychological response. The research part further help proofing that the need is present which needs new idea to help the passengers especially at the last minute.
