Acacia was founded in 2009 by leading experts in the field of optical networking. Their vision was to accelerate a new era in optical transmission where for the first time advanced modulation and demodulation techniques, driven by sophisticated and powerful digital signal processing, high-speed optical design and photonic integration, combine to enable reliable ultra-high speed fiber-optic connectivity ready for a variety of main stream deployments of 100G and beyond.

With multiple products in our portfolio, the Acacia team has enabled the leading OEM equipment vendors deploy thousands of coherent 100G links to take advantage of the capacity and feature benefits over existing 10G and 40G networks. At the core of the company is an expert team that possesses a unique combination of optical, electrical, communication, ASIC, DSP, Photonic Integration, manufacturing and business skills, all brought together to solve the distinct challenges of next generation optical networking. Their goal is to leverage advances in photonic integration, digital signal processing, optical and hardware/software platform design technology to accelerate adoption of ultra high speed optical interconnect at 100Gbps.
