Ensure it is free of any foreign matter, and the opening gate is facing the jumper’s body. With the thumb and index finger of the right hand, pinch off the yellow safety lanyard and trace it until fingers fall off the end, ensuring it is not wired, tied, or taped. Move to the front of the jumper and issue the command, SQUAT.
