Ebenezer Scrooge is a mean, miserable, hard man. There was nothing warm or open about him. He did not sympathize with the poor people. The only matter he cared about was earning money. Once Scrooge said," Christmas is humbug, just a time when you find yourself a year older and not a penny richer." This concept is really ridiculous. But on Christmas Eve, there were three spirits came to visit him. One is the spirit of past. Another is the spirit of present. And the other is that of the future. These spirits led Scrooge to his past, present, and future, in order to teach him lessons. Finally, Scrooge learns to remember the past, and think of the future. Furthermore, he promises he will be good to other people, keep Christmas in his heart, and will try to be kind, and cheerful, and merry, every day! He not only donates his money to charities, but also having a wonderful life. After finish reading this book, I learned a lot. This book reminds me that I should do my best to help others. I wish there is no selfishness existing in this world. The disaster happened in Japan really shocked the world. I saw many kind people decided to donate their money to help them. This scene is so touching. Not only those adults, but little girl walking on the street asked her mom to help them. In my opinion, no matter what happened, we should keep our love and empathy in our heart.
