Themorphology of freeze-driedmicrocapsules was examined prior to storage using a Hitachi S4300/N field emission, variable pressure, and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The working distance was 11.3 mm and beam energy was 1.2 kV. Prior to SEM examination, the microcapsule powders were mounted on a double sided carbon tape on a stud and coated with gold.
