This study demonstrates that employees who sustain industrial injuries perceive a more risky workplace, confirming other studies that have investigated changes in the perception of risk in the presence of traumatic events (Cree & Kelloway, 1997; HalpernFelsher et al., 2001; Mearns & Flin, 1995; Rundmo, 1996; Weinstein, 1989; Weinstein & Nicolich, 1993).
