Our results differ from those of Kiehl et al. [23], who report that the N2 effect is absent in their psychopath group relative to two other incarcerated groups (individuals with schizophrenia and nonpsychopath offenders). We note, however, that even for the nonpsychopath offenders the N2 effect was small, possibly due to having used data from a 50% Go/NoGo ratio paradigm, which has been shown to diminish the N2 effect [1]. Since Kiehl et al. did not include a non-offender control group, these effects are hard to interpret.
