During the period that I taught at NTOU, I was Joseph’s master’s thesis supervisor and the director of the Computer Vision Lab, where he conducted his scientific research and projects. Through the abundance of projects of mine which he joined, I got to know Joseph in a deeper way. After Joseph graduated, we continued to stay in touch. I have now known him for over ten years, and I believe that I have a deep understanding of Joseph’s character in many respects.
