To our valued footwear manufacturing partners,

Nike Inc. has been embarking on a journey regarding global purchasing programs for commodities, like Converse's canvas and laces. These programs are targeted to result in a mutual benefit in terms of cost, quality, consistency, transparency, allocation and delivery. We are writing to inform you that as we progress with these programs, Nike Direct Procurement, with Converse leadership’s engagement and support, will become the main contact window for price negotiations with materials suppliers on the Converse programs of canvas and 8mm flat polyester laces.

Nike Direct Procurement is partnering with the Nike Inc. Materials Operations and Development teams to identify suppliers, source materials and negotiate pricing on behalf of Nike Inc. to support materials programs sponsored by the business. Alexandra LaValley (on CC) will be leading the Converse programs as the Direct Procurement Sourcing Manager. Please continue to partner with OIA on your 8mm flat polyester lace orders, as OIA remains an important partner for us throughout this process. We ask for no change from your side, but just want to provide awareness to you on the addition of Nike Direct Procurement to our team.
