The two characters I going to discuss are Alice (Alice in the wonderland) and Lucy (he Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe). Both of they have discovered another world, and they are the first one to into the world. Alice dropped into the tree hole and arrived the wonderland, when she was dropping, she didn’t feel scare or terrible, she just looking at the surrounding; when Lucy found the Narnia, she neither be afraid, the opposite that she was curious where is in the wardrobe. According to the information on the website, Alice is seven-year-old, and Lucy is eight. In these stories, they show the innocence, curiosity and energy that a child should have.I would like to discuss the differences between the three situations they faced. The first one situation is when they found another world they didn’t meet before. They are curious to explore the unknown world, their behavior is very consistent with their age, I think this is a very important link. When we read the story, if our personality is similar to the characters in the story, it will make us more engaged in the story, even as if we are the protagonist. For me, attracting children's attention is the first and most important step. In both of these books, we didn’t see that they are afraid of the strange world, why didn’t they feel afraid? I think because they know nothing fear nothing. Like Peter or Susan, they were upset when they first came to the Narnia, They are too careful to make people think that something will happen in the next second, but in fact there is nothing happen. Their roles are like an adult, who will worry about if they can’t protect their family, keep alert to the unfamiliar environment. In their cognition, innocence can no longer exist in their thoughts, same as me. And their reactions set off Lucy's personality and her innocence.Secondly, when they facing dangers. When Alice was facing the Red Queen who wants to cut Alice head, Alice said “Who cares for you?”, because Alice know those soldiers just a pack of cards. She was confident that she could defeat the soldiers. She believed that the Red Queen could not do anything to her. When Lucy was facing the White Witch who wants the life of humans and Aslan, she chose to fight to the enemy with her family. Her choice is courageous, and she knows how much power she has. She will not try to be a hero. Comparing these two characters, they have chosen to face the enemy, they will not encounter problems on the hide, especially Lucy, her enemy is more powerful, but because of her more powerful enemy, she has her family fight together with her. This plot can let children know that they will have their enemies need to confront, but no matter how strong the enemies are, we must be brave. Only after facing the enemies bravely can we hoping to win.Thirdly, Alice in the wonderland always missing her cats, she seems to not missing her family, so maybe she thought she was in dream from the beginning to the end. She haven’t expect that her family can save she out.
