Dynamic load test: The Crane shall be tested with 120% dynamic load (i.e. 49t under spreader, 100% dynamic load is 41t) (the overload limit switch is by-passed). The hoisting and trolley motions should be normal under this test. With the overload limit switch connected, the Crane is to be tested with dynamic load of 100%, 115% and greater than 110% rated load to verify the activation, reliability and effectiveness of the overload limit switch.

ii. Static load Test: The trolley shall be positioned in the middle of the trolley girder and the Crane is tested with 125% static load. Firstly, 120% load shall be dynamically lifted and, then, the load is gradually added up to 125% without any shock. During testing, observe deflection of the girder. There should not be residual deformation. Before static load test, deflection of the girder under 100% dynamic load shall be verified as per the standard.
