In Germany it's usually like this: in Grade 1-4 everybody goes to the "Grundschule", then based on your marks you can decide wheter you go to the "Hauptschule" (with the lowest demand of performance and study matter, you get your degree after 8th Grade), the "Realschule" (with the normal/basic study matter, you can get your degree after 10th grade) and the "Gymnasium" (with the highest demands, and a degree called "Abitur" after 12th Grade, which is also needed if you want to go to university/college). So I plan to go to university, but I actually don't really know what I want to study. Maybe something like biomedicine. ♀️
