The Children’s Bible Curriculum is geared toward elementary students, but the materials can also help adults for whom English is a second language. Bible verses, illustrations, and activities present children with an active and meaningful method of coming to grips with selected Bible stories. Students encounter the challenges and faith-building experiences of leading Bible figures. All major doctrines of Scripture are presented in a positive manner as students are led through the Old and New Testaments.
Global Kids is a new three-book series that presents the adventures of fictional children as they travel around the world. Focusing on basic biblical doctrines, the lessons emphasize application of Scripture in the domains of head, heart, and hands. Each book includes a children’s storybook, children’s travel journal, and leader’s guide.
The Christmas Story, Esther, Gideon, and David Illustrated Narratives (comic books) are available to view online at www.globalreach.org. They are also available in print versions.
Supplemental Material
Option to Live, an audio drama in twelve 15-minute segments, has been designed especially for people from various religious backgrounds.
The Living Word Series includes richly illustrated video programs on biblical themes. Many biblical and historical events are reenacted, and the SED staff has given great attention to the historical accuracy of costumes and sets. Scale models and archaeological sites* are also used to make the Bible a living Word to the viewer. Originally developed to furnish biblical background for the Global University undergraduate program, the video courses can also be used as general interest programs.
