Kapuk Angke Nature Recreation ParkAround 99.82 hectare Natural Recreation Park area is located adjacent to the elite area of Pantai Indah Kapuk in North Jakarta, which is the last remaining mangrove forest in Jakarta. In 1998 the mangrove forests in this area were illegally cut down and converted into fish ponds. Some area have been successfully rehabilitated. There are still huge challenges in managing this conservation area, including issues of rubbish, poachers, abrasion and tidal flooding. Jakarta Green Monster recorded that there are around 91 types of birds, namely 28 types of water birds and 63 types of forest birds, that live in this area. Around 17 species of them are protected bird species
