On 25 May 2015, the Indonesian Ministry of Finance announced in regulation 97/PMK.010/2015 import duty increases for the MFN rate on steel products with HS codes 7208-7217 and 7229 in the range of 5 to 10%. The changes for important steel products included:

for hot rolled coil/plate from 5% to 15%
cold rolled coil/sheet from 7,5% to 15%
for wire rod from 5% to 15%
for steel used for concrete reinforcement from 10% to 17,5%
for zinc-coated steel sheets from 12,5% to 20%.

The regulation came into force on 30 May 2015.
Due to unavailability of trade volumes for 2014, the list of affected trading partners is based on data from 2013.
