This sample schedule may not be suitable for your needs. With this in mind, if you have not already developed a weekly schedule that works for you, making one now will be a wise investment of time. Here are some suggested guidelines for a schedule:
1. Form a habit of doing routine things at a certain time every day. This habit will save you precious minutes each day. In addition, sort out the various routine tasks and cluster them together.
2. Set deadlines for yourself. For example, one pastor made a rule to have his Sunday sermons prepared by Thursday noon. When you are reading a book, set a time when you expect to finish it.
3. Allow for interruptions. A schedule is a tool, a slave, to work for you;
it is not your master. There are times when God sends people your way unexpectedly. Do not resent this! Be open to God’s interruptions, but do not be distracted by everything that comes along.
