eutectics are given in Table 2. A low value of W is desired to obtain
nanomaterials. Moreover, the increase of the number of components lowers the interphase spacing because of the complexity
associated with multi-phase formation makes the crystallisation
kinetically more difficult. Fig. 5 shows the microstructure of some
ternary DSEC showing very high flexural strength at RT and
superplastic behaviour at high T.
