Both wholesale gas and electricity

Both wholesale gas and electricity prices have fallen over the past year. The forward contract for delivery of gas in winter 2015/16 is down 25% on one year ago, whilst the comparable contract for electricity is down 18% year-on-year. These trends have been driven by a combination of factors, including a healthy supply picture and the feed through of oil price declines putting downward pressure on both gas and electricity prices.
