GD-OTS comment: For clarification: Independent shipment inspection - this will be at the Buyer's expense. Regarding the 'Inspection Agreement" GD-OTS is requesting a copy of the inspection requirements as will be defined in the Inspection Agreement, as to ensure we understand the requirements.
For safety and security reasons, GD-OTS cannot allow the independent inspector to have “free access”. In addition, any independent inspection (firm) is subject security approval and U.S. State Department approval. GD-OTS must fully comply with applicable laws and regulations controlling the export of products, services and technology.
GD-OTS takes exception to “defect in their design” – were not designed by GD-OTS. These articles will build to U.S. Government design and specification as per contractual requirement.
In the event, GD-OTS is obligated to pay for additional expenses incurred by the inspector due to the non-issuance of the inspection certificate caused by GD-OTS, GD-OTS will cover the reasonable cost for coach air fare, lodging and meal at a daily per diem rate of $60.00 USD up to two inspectors for one week. No other incidentals will be provided.
