The hexagonal rotary composter was used to carry out the experiments. It consists of a dual chamber having a total volume of 0.3 m3. Each individual chamber has its own opening at the top part of the vessel.Along the length of the pipes, small holes were drilled to allow uniform distribution of air throughout the vessel.At the side of the vessel (i.e., the top part), as well as, on the two covers, holes of 60 mm diameters were also drilled to ensure proper exit of hot air from the composter.
